I was just blog hopping when I came upon a site that linked to a Cebu Seo Contest. The contest basically is about creating a post that contains the words CEBU SEO CONTEST with a link to the site http://www.phblogger.net.
The registration for the contest will end on September 02, 2008 and the blog that takes the number one spot for the words Cebu Seo Contest on September 08, 2008 will win.
Cebu Seo Contest First Prize: Php700.00 + 1 year domain registration (.com, .org, .net, .inf0) + free web hosting + 500 EC
Cebu Seo Contest Second Prize: Php500.00 + 1000 EC
Cebu Seo Contest Third Prize: Php500.00 + 500 EC
This contest however is only open to bloggers residing in the Philippines.
Now why did I join the contest? I would be lying if I said it was for the betterment of mankind. My first and initial reason for joining the Cebu Seo Contest is because of the prizes - they're too darn tempting to pass off on. Second reason is for experience - I've wanted to try joining contests in the information superhighway.
If this is indeed an SEO contest then why did I chose to create a new blog? I really am not sure how to answer this one but since it is not stated in the rules that I must make a post on an already existing blog, creating a new one seems to be a good idea.
I guess that's it. I just hope that Google indexes this in a few hours and wait for it to gain #1 spot on the SERPs for the words Cebu SEO Contest.
